Rwanda Village Concept Project 

Rwanda Village Concept Project (RVCP) is a student-run organisation that works in the southern district of Rwanda to harness the energy, enthusiasm and skills of the National University of Rwanda's student body to improve the health and living standards of underprivileged communities in the Huye district. Founded in 2000, RVCP have been taking positive and innovative steps to improve Rwanda's future for over 10 years. 

Recent activities

This year we plan to conduct 5 projects:
  • Hygiene, Water and Sanitation
  • HIV/AIDS prevention
  • Income Generation
  • Pyramid - Gender Empowerment
  • Malaria prevention

And 2 initiatives
  • LLCCM orphan centre
  • Huye Maternal Health Clinic

BVDA

This year we will continue to work in partnership with BVDA to develop our organisation and improve our funding and strategy opportunities. We will run  two projects, a 7 week project in July-August and a long-term capacity building project Oct-May 2013/14.

GlobeMed

This year we will continue to work in partnership with our USA partners, GlobeMed in the Huye Maternal Health Clinic. We will organise 2 maternal health education programs in 2013. We will also host 5 Globmed volunteers in May-June 2013.
